Hello All

Thank you for participating in the forum for over five years. Yes, this site exists since 1997 and have over 44,000 messages.

My primary objective was to create a meeting place where fellow Mauritians and other nationals could participate FREELY. In English, French or Créole. There was no major site for Mauritian talk on the web. I believe in freedom of expression and that everyone is entitled to voice his opinion. The only cases of censorship here are for vulgarity, foul words, racism and libel. Otherwise, everything goes through.

I remember the Gilbert Ahnee's editorial in March 1999 (??) about foul language on the forum. (if someone can forward it to me, I'll appreciate). At that time, I just started to work and did not have any Internet access.

This site run on its own powerful computer and the forum should be faster than ever. This time, I'm leaving the old forum running and hope that you will all switch to the new one.

1/ I can edit & delete my own post in this forum but it's totally impossible to remove my profile...? something is missing here...Ability to edit and delete our account information is more than necessary and if you plan to develop your website in the future (eg. e-commerce, bizness etc), all privacy policy concerns should be analyse very strictly...anyway, it's up to you.

2/ What about children under age 13 or less ? it's reasonably necessary to set restriction to parental permission for them...everyone can post from the time being on this forum.
